By downloading, installing, or using Case Files–With the Detective ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
License to Use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. This license does not include the right to modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the App or its content.
In-App Purchases
The App offers optional in-app purchases for additional mystery stories and content bundles. All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions. Purchases are final and non-refundable, except as required by applicable law or Apple's refund policies. For refund requests, please contact Apple Support directly.
User Conduct
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its functionality
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or networks connected to the App
- Use the App to transmit any harmful, offensive, or illegal content
Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, features, and original content, is owned by us and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The classic literary works featured in the App are in the public domain. Our adaptations, presentation, and the detective conversation system are proprietary.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the App.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
